Today, Wrigley's is the largest chewing gum company in the world, selling brands in over 180 countries. It has remained a family business, with four generations(世代) of Wrigleys leading the company.


Juicy Fruit is still Wrigley's flagship(旗艦;主力產品) product and America's number-one furit gum. It is also the favorite gum of American children. But the company didn't stop there. Many other brands have been introduced over the years. You may know the company by one of these; Extra, Airwaves and Hubba Bubba. Extra, the company's first sugar-free gum, is now the most popular gum in America. Its flavor(風味;滋味) is said (in the advertising) to "last(繼續;持久) an extra, extra, extra long time."

In 1920, wanting an impressive(令人印象深的) headquarters(總部) for his successful company, William built Chicago's famous Wrigley Building. It was the first office tower(超出) built north of the Chicago River, and its beauty inspired(鼓舞;激勵) others to be built along the same street. Now, that part of North Michigan(密西根) Avenue(大道) is called " the magnificent(宏偉的;莊嚴的) mile" and is featured(主要的) in nearly every photo book of American architecture(建築學;建築物).
